THE VALUE OF SUNLIGHT IN AGRICULTURE

It is not a new discovery that sunlight is important, but  the question is how important is it in agriculture ?
Sunlight provides the energy plants need to convert carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates and oxygen. The carbohydrates produced by photosynthesis are used for vegetative and reproductive growth and to increase crop biomass. Because solar energy is needed for photosynthesis, it only occurs during daylight.
Without the sun, plants can't get the food they need to grow, reproduce and survive. Unlike animals, plants are autographs, meaning they create their own food source.
Now we know that the value of sunlight in agriculture is extremely  high!
